![]() A cultural context. I was trying to wrap my brain around what that meant today. Can anything exist without a cultural context. That was my next question. Everything that we do must have a culture to go with it. Do we not learn precept upon precept. Thought upon thought. Is this too culture. Does it stem from what we have experienced, and is that a predetermined by the culture in which it was experience. Weather it be Mainstream culture, subcultures or the so called blurred lines that create cultures in and of themselves. Then there is what happens in our minds. What happens on the psychic planes as we astral travel. These must be cultures in and of themselves. Some would call them thoughts, however I am sure it can be an entirely different kind of cultural context. There is a culture of the macrocosm, the so called external world. But what about the microcosm, the universe within us. Makes me think more about, how do we define a cultural context within art. Shaun Gamache |
